The UK Government’s Digital Access Programme through the British High Commission in Nairobi, the Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports – State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, ICT Authority of Kenya, in collaboration with the County Governments of Busia and Mandera, and KICTANet are implementing the project titled “Strengthening Digital Communities”. The project is aimed at transforming digital communities in Kenya with a special focus on the Two Counties of Mandera and Busia. This project aligns with the UK Digital Development Strategy (DDS) 2024 -2030, focusing on Gender, Equity, and Social Inclusion around digital inclusion for all.
Plusfarm Kenya being the implementing partner building agripreneurship capacity among the youth, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as agribusiness Trainers for the Busia Youth Agripreneurs Capacity Building Project. This exciting initiative aims to empower young people across Busia County by providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully manage agricultural projects and become trainers within their communities.
We are recruiting 35 representatives, one from each ward in Busia County, to assist in mobilizing participants and facilitating the training of youth in agripreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
Mobilize youth participants for the project in your ward.
Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions.
Act as a liaison between participants and the project team.
Support project implementation and reporting activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must be a youth (under 35 years old).
Must have completed post-secondary education (certificate, diploma, or degree).
Experience in training farmers or similar projects will be an added advantage.
Women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Passionate about youth empowerment and agriculture.
Ability to work effectively within the local community.
Reliable and self-driven.

Active or Aspiring Agripreneurs: Anyone currently engaged in farming or agribusiness, or those who aspire to start.
